Motion Graphics

This project was created as a social post for Shiner, highlighting the new Lemonade Shandy. Originally intended to be a shoot, it shifted to a design and animation assignment due to a scheduling conflict with the content team.

I took this as a challenge to flex my illustration skills and learn character rigging.

I got to work!

Dispite the unexpected troubles and tight deadline, I was happy and proud of where it ended up, we sent it to the clients hoping for a quick approval.

The clients nixed the concept, brought up a good point of the style and the lemonade stand leans too childish.

I cried.

Lessons Learned:

  • This was a good reminder to always share the project plan and WIP with the client, especially when things are moving fast.
  • I jumped on this project without fully understand the scale, and underestimated the amount of work that goes into planning.
  • This might not have been the best time for me to learn character rigging. Even though I’m good at picking up a new skill fairly quickly, with the tight deadline I couldn’t give myself enough time to mess around.
